CSO’s Home for the Holidays

Composer and conductor James Stephenson will lead the CSO's annual holiday tradition in standard holiday tunes plus his own special arrangements of old classics.

Rock City Gardens’ Enchanted Garden of Lights

When: 6-9 p.m.
Where: Rock City, 1400 Patten Road

Head high atop Lookout Mountain to the award winning, 22nd annual light extravaganza that showcases more than 30 holiday scenes and hundreds of thousands of LED lights that transform the gardens’ natural daytime splendor into a magical fantasyland. The evening includes pictures with Santa, decorating gingerbread cookies, hot cocoa and nightly entertainment from choirs and local musicians.

PJs and The Polar Express at the IMAX Theater

Located under the open sky of the beautifully landscaped gardens of the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo, all ages are now able to experience a classic winter tradition—outdoor ice skating—as a new seasonal festivity in Chattanooga's bustling southside. Schedule includes general skating time, special themes, appearances by Santa and a rotating schedule to benefit local non-profits.

Ruby Falls’ Christmas Underground

When: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Ruby Falls, 1720 South Scenic Hwy

Ruby Falls’ Christmas Underground offers a magical holiday adventure for the whole family. Explore the cave for the magical “Joystone,” walk through a secret underground ice cave that that leads straight to Santa at the North Pole, see the Northern Lights, check out the Sugar Plum Fairy Village, take a horse and carriage ride, and don’t forget to tell Santa everything that you want for Christmas.
