A Bear Called Paddington Live on Stage

When: Specific times available online
Where: Chattanooga Theatre Centre, 400 River Street
Cost: $10

Anyone familiar with Paddington—who was found in Paddington Station by the Browns and adopted by them—will welcome this play. These stories have been favorites with children for years and this series of "playlet" versions of some of his most notorious adventures have been woven together to make a play that will delight young audiences everywhere. Fairy Garden Workshop at The Barn Nursery

When: 1-2:30 p.m.
Where: The Barn Nursery, 1801 East 24th Street 
Cost: $35-$40

Have you ever wanted to know what fairy gardens are all about? This workshop is a family-friendly event that teaches the basics of indoor/outdoor fairy gardens. You'll create a miniature landscape of wonder with dwarf plants, paths and tiny furniture to make a fun abode for small fairy friends. The course includes a starter kit to make a complete fairy garden. Open to all ages with adult supervision.

Who Done It? A Mystery & Fiction Thematic Book Sale

When: Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St. 
Cost: Free

If you’re a fan of fiction and mystery books, check out the Chattanooga Public Library’s three-day sale. Mystery and fiction books will be on sale in the auditorium for $1 each for both hardback and paperback books. Current Friends of the Library members may fill a standard plastic grocery bag with books for only $5. Limit 2 per membership per day. This is a great opportunity to support the Chattanooga Public Library and get some great books. Win win!

St. John's Romantic Seafood Dinner

When: 6-8 p.m. 
Where: St. John’s Restaurant, 1278 Market St
Cost: $60 - $70

Celebrate Valentine’s Day a bit early with a romantic dinner at Chattanooga’s famous St. John’s Restaurant. The special evening will include a sustainable seafood dinner in support of the Serve & Protect initiative promoting sustainable seafood. Dinner includes gratuity, recipes and a glass of wine with the main course.

4th Annual Mardi Gras Gala

When: 7-11 p.m.
Where: Granfalloon, 400 E Main St, Chattanooga, TN 37408
Cost: $60 - $1,500

Chambliss Center for Children, in collaboration with Events with Taste, will host the Mardi Gras Gala featuring Cajun-inspired fare, cocktails, Dixieland Jazz by the Ralph Miller Quartet, late-evening DJ and dance party, and lots of New Orleans-style fun.
