Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma is set in a Western Indian Territory just after the turn of the century. The high–spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Hunter Underground

Avant-Art, the Hunter Museum's young patron group, will host Hunter Underground, Chattanooga's only art party under the city. The basement of the Hunter Museum of American Art will be temporarily converted from a maze of art storage to a setting more befitting a night club with music by local DJ Southtek & Tape Canvas, delicious food by Alleia, creative cocktails, light projection and an art auction. Looking to start your own small business? At this event, the counselor discusses basic business planning including financial projections and legal entity. You will receive an information packet containing phone numbers and addresses for information about business licenses and taxes and other start-up materials. Pre-registration is required. Houston Museum of Decorative Arts 42nd Annual Antique Show & Sale

When: Feb. 26-27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Feb. 28 from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Stratton Hall, 3146 Broad Street
Cost: $10

This show features dealers from all over the southeastern U.S. and will include fine and costume jewelry, antique furniture, art glass, antique lamps, paintings, silver, collectibles and much more. Kirk J Nelson, guest speaker, will make presentations on Early American Glass & American Art Glass and identify glass for show visitors (limit of 3 items per guest) on Friday and Saturday.
