Chattanooga ZineFest 2016 Workshop Series

When: 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Where: Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad Street
Cost: Free

Ever wanted to start your own zine? Or maybe you’re curious about what they’re all about? Up until the Chattanooga Public Library’s annual Chattanooga ZineFest event in May, the library has been hosting a free workshop series each month to help guests get ready for the show. If you're new to zines, don't know where to even start or are just curious, the three-hour workshops consist of 4 short sessions that will present a general overview of narrative content present in both visual and prose form. “Unsung" Black History Concert presented by Center for Creative Arts

When: 7-8:30 p.m.
Where: Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road
Cost: $5

The Center for Creative Arts Vocal Department will present a black history concert featuring a musical walk through history highlighting artists and composers such as Moses Hogan, Tina Turner, Earth Wind and Fire, Ray Charles and more.


Thursday, March 3 - Saturday, March 5

Boutique Warehouse Sale

When: March 3 from 5-8 p.m. and March 4-5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Stratton Hall, 3146 Broad Street
Cost: Free - $15

Peruse through a collection of more than 20 of the Southeast’s best boutiques and locally owned shops displaying discounted wares. The Boutique Warehouse Sale will include women and children's clothing, shoes, accessories and more. Admission is free on March 4-5, but shoppers can get an early pick of the items at the sale on Thursday at the preview party. The event will feature food and drinks at a cost of $15 to benefit the Connor Pullen Foundation.

Women Ground Breakers Storytelling

When: 5-6:30 p.m.
Where: Walden Club, 633 Chestnut St. #2100
Cost: Free

Celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day with the 6th annual Storytelling Celebration Series presented by Women GroundBreakers, the Women's Council on Diversity in Chattanooga. The first session will be on the topic of immigrants and will include stories of how women immigrants make a difference and inspire future ground breakers. Ruby Falls Lantern Tours

When: 8:30-10:30 p.m. 
Where: Ruby Falls, 1720 South Scenic Highway
Cost: $26.95

Experience Ruby Falls in a new way with a 260-foot elevator ride into the mountain and a tour by lantern light. These tours are offered every Friday night and reservations are required by calling 1-800-755-7105 or booking online.
