When: Noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Creative Discovery Museum, 321 Chestnut Street
Cost: Free - $14.95

Share a smile by creating a pillowcase in the Pillowcase Factory! Creative Discovery Museum is partnering with Ryan's Case for Smiles to assemble 100 pillowcases to be donated to the Ryan's Case for Smiles Nashville chapter. Ryan's Case for Smiles gives the pillowcases to children undergoing hospital treatment for serious illnesses. The whimsical pillowcases give children a much needed emotional boost and "help kids feel better to heal better.” Through the process, children and their caregivers will learn about breaking a large project into smaller steps to accomplish a goal as quickly as possible. There is great value in being a small part of a larger project and feeling like one's contribution is important, no matter how small the task may seem! All activities included with price of admission. For more information about the event or how to volunteer, contact Karen Dewhirst at 423-648-6094.
