Chattanooga Market Blueberry Festival

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Where: 1829 Carter Street
Cost: Free

Get your fill of all things blueberry from fresh-picked to pies to candles at the Chattanooga Market Blueberry Festival. Patrons can enter in one of the blueberry pie-eating contests, featuring fresh baked pies made by the Culinard Cooking Institute prepared with fresh, local blueberries. Sign up at the Market Information Desk Sunday a half-hour before each contest. Don't miss the “You be The Judge” pie-eating contest at 1 p.m., featuring a handful of Hamilton County Court Judges.


June-July

'Camelot' Reimagined in the Kennedy Era

When: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in June and July
Where: Chattanooga Theatre Centre, 400 River Street
Cost: $15-35

Chattanooga Theatre Centre has reimagined the classic “Camelot” musical to take place in 1960s Mad Men-era. Guinevere, King Arthur's lovely wife, encourages him to establish the Knights of the Round Table. As the Knights grow in fame, Lancelot Du Lac becomes the most celebrated of all of them, and rumors begin to circulate about his affair with Guinevere. Can Camelot be the idealistic place of Arthur's dreams? The memorable score includes "If Ever I Would Leave You," "C'est Moi," "What Do the Simple Folks Do?" and the title song, “Camelot." Paddle Smart Chattanooga

When: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Where: Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River St. 
Cost: $25, reservations required.

Curious about Chattanooga's paddling scene? Do you have your own boat but seek guidance to feel more confident accessing Chattanooga's waterways? The class is taught by Outdoor Chattanooga's experienced paddling instructors, who will share their knowledge and offer insight on the best ways to set up your boat, transporting your craft, paddling techniques, entry and exit practices, understanding CFS-water flow and how it can affect you, safety precautions and resources for recreational paddling in the Chattanooga area. After you feel comfortable on the water, the group will conclude the session with an optional paddle tour to explore and showcase area Blueway water trails. This program is appropriate for children as young as 10 years of age, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Art Wise: Distinguished Speakers Series presents Stephanie Plunkett

When: 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View 
Cost: $15 adults, free for children, youth under 17

Norman Rockwell Museum Chief Curator and Deputy Director Stephanie Plunkett will speak on the news Hunter Museum exhibition "Masters of the Golden Age: Harvey Dunn and His Students." She will speak on Dunn and the other artists and work in this exhibit which was curated by the Norman Rockwell Museum. This program is open to the public with regular admission.

AVA Gallery Grand Reopening

When: 5:30-8 p.m.
Where: Association for Visual Artists, 30 Frazier Ave. #A 
Cost: Free

The Association For Visual Arts will host a Gallery Grand Reopening of the newly renovated AVA Gallery including the feature exhibit, AVA Members Salon Show. The completed renovations include a new window stage, new gallery and exhibit lighting, custom hanging installation fixtures, custom built reception area, sound system, and more.
