Friday, August 10

Movie Night at Riverpark

When: 8:30-11 p.m.
Where: Tennessee Riverpark, 4301 Amnicola Hwy
Cost: Free

Released in 2006, this New Line Cinema movie is about a young man that moves from Montana to Florida with his family, where he's compelled to engage in a fight to protect a population of endangered owls. There will be free popcorn and parking. Bring your own blanket or chair and a non-alcoholic beverage. The event is located at Riverpark Shelter 4 next to the playground. 


Friday, August 10

Museum Hop 2018

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Houston Museum of Decorative Arts
Cost: $20 

Visit nine Chattanooga-area museums for one low price on Aug. 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Museum Hop admission for all nine museums is $20, a savings of more than $60 over regular admission prices. Where: Rock City Gardens, 1400 Patten Rd.

Also take a look at fashion through the work of Karen LaMonte's sculptures featured in the temporary exhibit, Embodied Beauty.
