Friday, September 21
Free Family Movie At Heritage Park
When: 7:30-9:45 p.m.
Where: Heritage Park, 1428 Jenkins Road
Cost: Free
Bridge Christian Church will conclude its seventh annual family movie series, Movies in the Park at Dark, with a musical inspired by the story of P.T. Barnum's creation of the Barnum & Bailey Circus. The movie will be shown on a large inflatable screen, and popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show. The movie will be cancelled for inclement weather. Heritage Park is located at 1428 Jenkins Road in Chattanooga. The 22-acre park has a walking track, playground, picnic tables, bocce ball court, public art and an off-leash dog park.

Free Entrance to Point Park for Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day is the time to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Visit Point Park, atop Lookout Mountain, where Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is waiving the entrance fee on Saturday, September 22. Enjoy the beautiful views of Chattanooga and its surrounding areas. Ranger-guided programs, lasting 30 minutes, are given at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., beginning inside the Point Park entrance gate. Noontunes: Spinster
When: Noon to 1 p.m.
Where: Miller Park, 900 Market Street

Sisters Rosalie, Rachel and Amelia formed the trio Spinster after unearthing their grandfather's accordion in a closet and spending several summers learning pop covers on a hodgepodge of acquired instruments, from the mandolin to the washboard, glockenspiel and upright bass. Spinster melds familial harmony and old-timey sensibilities with pop sounds, reviving classics of doo-wop, 80s art pop and 90s boy band rock. Spinster is writing and recording their first album due to release next year.

Food Truck Fridays: Culture Fest
When: 11:30-1:30 p.m.
Where: Miller Park, 900 Market St.
Cost: Free
Come experience the rich cultural diversity of Chattanooga through arts, food, dance and live music during your lunch hour! With a newly opened park, there will also be a new slate of events and programs to be found in Downtown Chattanooga's Miller Park including Food Truck Fridays which will happen every Friday through November 16. In addition to the Rolling J's, Chatterbox, Clumpies and Go Gyro Go food trucks and cart that will be located on Market Street right beside Miller Park, each Friday will feature a different arts and cultural organization concluded by a local vendor fair to build community in the new public space.
