Don't miss these Chattanooga events, happening locally from Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12.

Opening tonight—Peter Pan the Musical

When: Fridays-Saturdays, July 10-11, 17-18, 24-25; and Thursdays, July 16 and 23 at 8 p.m.
Where: Signal Mountain Playhouse, corner of Rolling Way and James Boulevard
Cost: $15 ages 13 and older, $5 ages 12 and under (cash or checks only)
Good to know: SMP is an outdoor venue, so dress for the heat and bring a folding chair 

The childhood classic Peter Pan is coming to Chattanooga beginning tonight at 8 p.m. at the Signal Mountain Playhouse. This beloved musical tells the story of the boy who never grew up and his life on the island of Neverland, where he leads the Lost Boys and battles with Captain Hook. Saturday, July 11

Crafted by Southern Hands featuring Peaches and Ponies

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Warehouse Row, 1110 Market St.
Cost: Free

Enjoy hand-picked Georgia peaches from The Peach Truck, visiting Warehouse Row as part of its Crafted By Southern Hands series. The event, taking place on the lawn, will feature live music, pony rides, complimentary refreshments—including homemade gelato from Milk and Honey—and more.


Saturday, July 11

Movies in the Park

When: 8:30-11 p.m.
Where: Coolidge Park
Cost: Free
Good to know: Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and snacks for this movie event

The 13th annual Movies in the Park at Coolidge Park will kick off this Saturday evening with a film about a young boy whose day goes from bad to worse to the worst day ever! Can you guess which blockbuster hit this is? First Things First, in partnership with the City of Chattanooga, hosts this summertime series in which families gather on the grass in the park to watch a film on a giant inflatable screen. Sunday, July 12

Chattanooga Lookouts vs. Mississippi Braves

When: 2:15 p.m.
Where: AT&T Field, 201 Power Alley
Cost: Free general admission ticket with canned good donation to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank in honor of SunTrust Sunday

The Chattanooga Lookouts will go head to head with the Mississippi Braves Sunday, July 12 at AT&T Field. It’s also Christmas in July at the Lookout Stadium, so don’t forget to bring a toy to donate to the Forgotten Child Fund. After the game, you can play Catch on the Field after Kids Run the Bases. Chattanooga Market Ice Cream Social

When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: First Tennessee Pavilion, 1826 Reggie White Blvd.
Cost: $5, benefitting Chambliss Center For Children

As is tradition for summer, the Chattanooga Market will host its annual Ice Cream Social event featuring some of Chattanooga’s favorite ice cream shops. For the $5 ticket price, guests receive samples from each local creamery represented at the event and can vote for the People’s Choice Awards in two categories: Best Pure Flavor Ice Cream and Best Ice Cream with Add-ins.
