Sunday, May 22nd

Chattanooga Ironman 70.3 North American Championship

When: 6:30am-When the last athlete finishes
Where: Ross's Landing, 201 Riverfront Parkway
Cost: Free

Living in Chattanooga, you know just how amazing our city is. The Ironman seems to agree with us as they chose our city to host the North American Championship. This Sunday, top athletes from all around the country will gather to race for the championship. The day will start with a 1.4 mile swim in the Tennessee River. Spectators can get the best view from the Walnut Street Bridge or at the swim exit at Ross’ Landing. Following the swim, the triathlon continues with a 56 mile bike ride into North Georgia and back to Ross’s Landing. From there, athletes will transition to the last leg of the race which consists of a 13.1 mile run. This event isn’t just for professionals. Amateur athletes will also be competing as well. Friday, May 27th

Y2K Late Skate Presented by Moonlight x Mobile

When: 7:00pm-11:00pm
Where: Chattanooga Skate Park, 1801 Reggie White Boulevard
Cost: Free Admission, $10 Skate rentals

Ready to party like it’s the year 2000? Chattanooga Skate Park is kicking off its Late Skate series with the theme Y2K! Skate into the evening jamming out to a live DJ playing your favorite 2000’s artist. There will be food, drinks, raffles, and even a costume contest. This event is 18+ only and accessible as all mobility devices are welcome on the rink. There will even be an Intro to Skating lesson at 6:00pm just in case you need a refresher! Saturday, May 21st

Spirits in the Wild

When: 6:00pm-10:00pm
Where: Chattanooga Zoo, 301 N Holtzclaw Ave
Cost: $60-$75

The Chattanooga Zoo is hosting its annual Spirits in the Wild this Saturday evening. Guests will enjoy an open bar with wine, beer, and spirits tastings, as well as a signature cocktail. To go with the amazing drinks, there will also be unlimited food tastings from local restaurants. Not only does this fundraiser help support our local zoo, but you also get to enjoy animal encounters (Um, yes please!), live music, live art demonstrations, and more! You’ll also have the chance to take home one-of-a-kind art pieces created by the animals themselves! Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be found here.


Wednesday, May 25th

Salsa Dancing at El Embargo

When: 6:00pm-11:00pm
Where: El Embargo, 301 Cherokee Blvd
Cost: Free, Food & drinks to purchase

If you’re looking for a night out with dinner and dancing, El Embargo is the place to go! El Embargo is not only known for its authentic and delicious Cuban cuisine, but also for a fun experience as well. Every Wednesday at 6pm, El Embargo hosts free Salsa lessons accompanied by live music. These lessons are for dancers on every level with easier steps for beginners or more challenging combinations for those who are more advanced. Nightfall Chattanooga 2022

When: 7:00pm 
Where: Miller Plaza, 850 Market St
Cost: Food & Drinks for purchase

Have you been counting down the days for Nightfall to start? It is finally here! Friday, May 27th, Nightfall Concert series kicks off its 35th year with an incredible line up. While the bands start at 7:00pm, head down early to grab some delicious food from local food vendors and shop handmade goods during the art market. Nightfall is an event for the entire family with live music, lawn games, and more! Nightfall will go on rain or shine every Friday through September 2nd.
