Spectators can get the best view from the Walnut Street Bridge or at the swim exit at Ross’ Landing. Following the swim, the triathlon continues with a 56 mile bike ride into North Georgia and back to Ross’s Landing. From there, athletes will transition to the last leg of the race which consists of a 13.1 mile run. This event isn’t just for professionals. Amateur athletes will also be competing as well. This all day event needs volunteers from start to finish. To sign up for a volunteer shift or for a map to find the best places along the course to cheer, check out the Ironman website here.
