MLK Night Market 2016

When: 5:30-10 p.m.
Where: Jazzanooga Arts SPACE, 431 E MLK Blvd.
Cost: Free

Check out out MLK Blvd Night Market 2016 is a weekly event that features an array of local vendors selling merchandise, art and food along with cultural performances and live entertainment, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of the historic MLK district. This market is family friendly and will feature anywhere from 10-20 vendors. 


Saturday, October 22

Chickamauga Pumpkin Fest

When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
Where: Downtown Chickamauga, Gordon Street and Thomas Avenue
Cost: Free

The 3rd Annual Chickamauga Merchants Pumpkin Fest features a pumpkin carving contest ($100 to best in show), pumpkin recipe contest, craft venders, inflatables, games for kids, music, food and a lot of fun. Chattanooga Market Buskers Festival

When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Where: Chattanooga Market, 1829 Carter Street
Cost: Free

 Chattanooga Market will become a platform for street performers of all kinds: musicians, dance acts, jugglers, mime, puppeteers, magicians, artists – you name it. They'll be performing for your entertainment at every nook and cranny of the Market – tips are much appreciated! Don't miss this cultural and entertaining experience for the whole family.

The Chattery Presents "How to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse”

When: 6-7 p.m.
Where: Edney Innovation Center, 1100 Market St.
Cost: $15

Zombies are in everything from comic books and television series to big budget action films. But will they ever exist? Maybe so. Maybe not. But do you really want to chance it? This seminar on apocalyptic survival methods will both entertain and educate you as it blends lessons from biology, emergency medicine, and personal combat. Fireside at Greenway Farm Park Concert Series

When: 7-9 p.m.
Where: Greenway Farm Park, 5051 Gann Store Road, Hixson, TN 37343 
Cost: Free

This free, family friendly, outdoor music series gathers around a campfire at the City of Chattanooga's Greenway Farm Park. All ages are invited to come out to unplug and enjoy an autumn evening in the park. Bring your blankets and chairs, marshmallow roasting stick and perhaps a picnic supper, then sit back and enjoy live music in this rustic setting. The October 27 guest is Vincent Ivan Phipps, Master Storyteller and owner of Communication VIP Training and Coaching, who will delight the audience with original, family-friendly, supernatural ghost stories from his book entitled, “Spooky-nooga.” Before Fireside, enjoy the changing season with a calm water paddle on North Chickamauga Creek in a canoe. Outdoor Chattanooga will provide all the equipment and support staff for you to paddle the creek at your own pace. Children under 30 lbs. should bring their own Personal Flotation Device (life jacket). Meet at the N. Chick canoe launch behind the old Sniteman Cabin.
