Gratefull: 6th annual city-wide potluck

When: 11:30am-1:30pm
Where: Bessie Smith Cultural Center and Chattanooga African American Museum, 200 E Martin Luther King Blvd
Cost: Free

Thanksgiving doesn’t have to be celebrated on just one day. On November 17th, head over to the Bessie Smith Cultural Center & Chattanooga African American Museum and share a meal with our community. Gratefull, formally known as One Table, is a city wide potluck with no fees, expectations, or agenda. It is simply a Thanksgiving meal simply shared by the community. This is the 6th year for this event and what better way to celebrate being thankful than with our local community. There is a small change to this year due to COVID precautions as they will not be offering an opportunity for people to bring pre-made food items to share. Instead for those who wish to make a contribution to those in need, you are welcome to bring supplies for the Maclellan Family Shelter. Bins will be provided for you to drop off items including: nonperishable food, coffee supplies, disposable plates & silverware, hygienic supplies including toothpaste and diapers, and laundry supplies. Chattanooga Fashion Expo

When: 10am-4pm
Where: Hunter Art Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View Ave
Cost: $0-$350

The fashion industry in Chattanooga has had so much potential, but not many ways to share within our community. That is until Shanna Forrestall, an experienced producer and event planner that is passionate about providing building career opportunities for creative artists of all types, relocated to Chattanooga. Last year’s Chattanooga Fashion Expo was a success and this year will only be better! Drawing emerging and established professionals from Chattanooga, Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville, New Orleans, LA, the expo “creates high quality fashion industry education, networking, mentorship, showcase and competition opportunities and creates a career “runway” to launch emerging and established regional creatives to larger key markets and greater success.” To grab your ticket and check out the full schedule for this 3 day event, head over to their website.
