North Pole Limited Christmas Train

When: Boarding times will vary
Where: Tennessee Valley Railroad, 4119 Cromwell Rd.

The Christmas festivities have begun and what better way to start the holiday season than with a magical train ride to the North Pole? As Tennessee Valley Railroad's most popular event, the North Pole Limited Express takes you on an imaginary journey to the North Pole. Along the way you'll see a number of lighted displays can be seen outside while enjoying yummy hot chocolate and cookies as well as exciting story telling. Word on the street has it that a special guest with a red coat and white beard makes an appearance as well! Asian Lantern Festival

When: 6:00-10:00pm
Where: Chattanooga Zoo, 301 North Holtzclaw Ave.
Cost: $16.50-$21.50

This time of year is known for the creative, magical light displays. The Chattanooga Zoo has gone all out this year, but with a twist. The Asian Lantern Festival is a spectacular celebration of art, culture and the beauty of traditional Asian lantern festivals, that is sure to be the most unique holiday light display in the Chattanooga area. The festival will feature more than 38 illuminated lantern displays throughout the Zoo. Lanterns will feature guests’ favorite zoo animals, traditional Asian lanterns, and natural elements. November 18th-January 29th

Ice On The Landing

When: Times will vary
Where: Chattanooga Choo Choo, 1400 Market St
Cost: $8-$12

Cold weather is officially here which means it must be time for Ice On The Landing! Chattanooga's local ice skating rink is back this weekend at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Skaters of all ages and abilities are welcome for a fun time filled with skating, laughter, and of course, delicious hot chocolate! If you've never tried ice skating or maybe it's been a few years since you hit the ice, there are knowledgeable rink guides available to assist you and answer any of your questions. Saturday, November 19th

East Ridge Christmas Parade

When: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Where: Camp Jordan, 323 Camp Jordan Parkway
Cost: Free

The annual East Ridge Christmas Parade is happening this weekend! The parade is something the East Ridge Community looks forward to kicking off the holiday season every year! Starting at Germantown Rd., the parade will follow along Ringgold Rd. toward I-24. The parade is will be full of entertainment, music, and fun displays for the audience. The weather is looking a bit questionable, but don't fret! In the event severe weather forces a cancellation, the make-up date for the parade will be on Sunday, November 20th at 2:30pm. November 19th-20th

Chattanooga Christmas Village Holiday Market

When: 10am-4pm
Where: Camp Jordan, 323 Camp Jordan Parkway
Cost: $5
