November 5th-6th

Head of the Hooch

When: Saturday, 9am-7pm, Sunday, 7am-3pm
Where: Ross's Landing, 201 riverfront Pkwy
Cost: Free to spectate

The Head of the Hooch regatta has become a well known event in Chattanooga that is so much fun to watch! The regatta is a head race – competitors row a 4,500-meter (2.8 miles) course on the Tennessee River ending at Ross’s Landing Park. The best place to view the finish line is from the grandstands in Ross’s Landing Park. Spectators can watch from the Walnut Street Bridge, Coolidge Park, or even from the Riverwalk. If you want the closest view of the finish line, be sure to set up a spot at the grandstands at Ross’s Landing. For more details about a regatta and where/how to watch, click here!


November 5th-6th

The Tangled Tinsel Holiday Market

When: 10am-4pm
Where: Collegedale Commons, 4750 Swinyar dr.
Cost: Free admission & parking

Halloween has come and gone which means it is time to gear up for the holidays! Collegedale Commons is gearing up to host The Tangled Tinsel Holiday Market this weekend to help you get a jump start on your holiday shopping! Shop from over 150 unique handcrafted vendors where you are sure to find the perfect gift for your loved one. We also love to support local artists and businesses so be sure to head out this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Admission and parking is free. Friday, November 4th

13th Annual Guns and Hoses Police/Fire Boxing Event

When: 6:30-11:00pm
Where: Camp Jordan Arena, 323 Camp Jordan Pkwy
Cost: $15

This is the 13th Annual "Guns and Hoses'' Battle of the Badges. A boxing card featuring a team of law enforcement officers against a team of firefighters and EMS Personnel. All teams represent departments throughout the Hamilton County and metropolitan area. Competitors are first matched by age, then boxing experience, then overall abilities. Proceeds from the "Guns and Hoses" event will benefit the YCAP Boxing Club, a delinquency prevention program; and the Forgotten Child Fund, a charity of the firefighters and law enforcement officers, who provide Christmas gifts to Children in the Greater Chattanooga Metropolitan area. Sunday, November 6th

Urban Nature 10k

When: 8am
Where: Coolidge Park, 150 River St.
Cost: $20-$30

This Sunday, experience a unique and challenging run that is half on roads in North Chattanooga and half on the trail at Stringers Ridge, a Chattanooga gem.  The race begins and ends at Coolidge Park under the Market Street Bridge on the Tennessee River and ends with a gorgeous scenic finish. This race benefits Stringers Ridge and is designed to show off this treasure inside our downtown. This fall race offers beautiful views of Stringers Ridge and downtown Chattanooga. Saturday, November 5th

1920’s Prohibition Speakeasy Party

When: 8pm
Where: Venue will only be given when your ticket is purchased
Cost: $45

Psst… There's a secret around town that we are here to let you in on, but shhh don’t tell anyone! Dress up in your finest 20's getup, and party like it's 1929. Food, dancing, cabaret acts, cash bar featuring era appropriate cocktails, and more roaring 20's fun. It's the bee's knees!
