Family Magic Night

When: 7-9 p.m.

The Chattanooga Magic Club Presents its annual Family Magic Night - 100 years of magic! The Chattanooga Magic Club, one of the longest continually operating clubs in the country, has been meeting together to share the wonder of magic for a century. Headlining the night will be Michael Frisbee, an award-winning illusionist with more than 30 years of magic experience. Frisbee can be seen bringing magical adventures to parties, fairs, festivals and amusement parks throughout the tri-state area. The feature performer, Mike Edwards, is a Las Vegas-trained magician best known in the Chattanooga area for his balloon work. Mike has trained and performed for more than 20 years with some of the best magicians in the world to hone his craft and wow audiences young and old alike. Captain Jack Heart, the country's foremost pirate illusionist, will be docking for the evening and bringing his pirate-based magic (and puns) to MC the show. Summer Music Weekends

Where: Rock City Gardens, 1400 Patten Rd.

Enjoy some of the best toe-tapping old-time, bluegrass and country music all summer long during Summer Music Weekends. Activities include the Walking in Frieda's Footsteps Tour, making Aunt Frieda's fire fly jars and some 1930's Americana all around. REI Riverbend Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Tour

When: 8:30 - 11 p.m. 
Where: Coolidge Park, 150 River Street
Cost: $99 - $109

Join REI on a guided SUP tour in Chattanooga on the Tennessee River to catch the headlining act at the Riverbend Music Festival. Guests will have the unique experience of paddling at sunset over to Ross's Landing and catching the headlining act of the Riverbend Music Festival while floating on the river. One Night Event: World Series of Comedy Competition

Help vote on which comedian will be one step closer to the Main Event in The World Series of Comedy qualifier. Judges, with the help of the audience, will select one comic who will win a spot at the satellite event in Sarasota at McCurdys Comedy Theatre! The Chattery Presents: How to Be Your Authentic Self in a Difficult Relationship

Your difficult relationship may be your mother-in-law, your significant other, your ex or your spouse. This 90-minute teaching is packed with practical tools to give you clarity and skills to show up as the real you. You'll be able to focus on what matters most. You'll learn how to recover from a regrettable incident; use the formula for clarity - AIR: Awareness, Intentionality, Risks; and to know when it's time to get outside help. A licensed counselor specializing in relationships pulls back the curtain in her personal life and shares from her years of counseling couples.
