Friday, May 26

Beach Blanket Movie Night

When: 8:30- 11 p.m. 
Where: Chester Frost Park, 2277 N. Goldpoint Circle, Hixson, TN 37343 
Cost: Free

Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Dept. invites you to bring out the family and kick off Memorial Day weekend at the 13th Annual Beach Blanket Movie Night at Chester Frost Park beach. The public is invited to bring chairs or blankets or watch the movie from your boat on the three-story screen. Due to copyright laws we can't mention the title but the movie is a Disney 2016 release about an adventurous teenager who is inspired to leave the safety and security of her island on a daring journey to save her people. Family activities will be held before the movie. The activities will begin at 8:30 and movie will begin at dark. First aid will be provided by Lifeguard Ambulance Service LLC.


Saturday, May 27

Adventure Fest 

When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
Where: Coolidge Park, 200 River Street 
Cost: Free to $12

Gociety presents Adventure Fest Chattanooga 2017, a day packed with learning, demos, sharing, brews and grooves. Join thousands of adventure seekers, outdoor enthusiasts, athletes and like-minded individuals and find new experiences and new friends. Take a SUP demo, do yoga on the lawn, take a lap on the climbing wall, learn to juggle, try new gear or just kick back with a craft brew. Street Food Festival

Where: Chattanooga Market, 1829 Carter Street 
Cost: Free

The Chattanooga Street Food Festival brings it all: the best food concepts from our area to one event celebrating the talent, the taste and the entrepreneurial spirit of people who make a living doing what they love to do. This event offers the chance to indulge in a mixture of cultural foods sure to please any taste palette. If you're a foodie at heart you don't want to miss this unique day at Chattanooga Market.

The Chattery Presents "Self-Driving Cars & The Future of Chattanooga”

When: 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Edney Innovation Center, 1100 Market St.
Cost: Free

This class exists to discuss the current state of autonomous technology, and think through what autonomous vehicles and mobility as a service will have on our society at large. As involved and passionate citizens, how can we take control of these global developments to continue to make Chattanooga one of the best places in the world to live, do business, and visit? Understanding the possibilities of AV and having those decisions and timelines informed by knowledge of the coming technological disruption will help keep Chattanooga the Best Town Ever!

Teens Take the Bluff: Bands on the Bluff

When: 6-8 p.m.
Where: Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View

Enjoy a night under the stars with Chattanooga's newest rising musical stars. Enjoy music from 6th Street Blues, Girls Rock Camp and Rock Skool who will be bringing on the tunes to show listeners the power of the future of music in Chattanooga. Guests can visit the permanent collection free of charge this evening and a last chance to see the temporary exhibit Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art and Bands on the Bluff are available for the special throwback price of just $5 (free to members and children under 17 with a paying adult).
