Friday, June 1

Chattanooga Bacon & Barrel Festival

When: 6-9 p.m.
Where: First Tennessee Pavilion, 1826 Reggie White Blvd 
Cost: $34

Visit the Bacon & Barrel Festival and celebrate two commonly appreciated southern traditions: hearty food & distilled spirits. This event will bring together 20 of Chattanooga's best restaurants and a vast array of spirits to savor a weekend of bacon, bbq and all the good things that come from old oak barrels. Enjoy healthy portions of unique and delicious bacon dishes while listening to live music, chatting with distillers, and sipping fine bourbons, whiskeys, and more. If you're still thirsty after your 15 whiskey tastings, there will also be a cash bar with a variety of drinks available. Proceeds benefit Chattanooga Market - so every sip counts! Saturday, June 2

National Trails Day at the Chickamauga Battlefield

When: 9 a.m. to noon 
Where: Point Park, 110 Point Park Rd, Lookout Mountain, Ga
Cost: Free

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and the American Hiking Society are seeking volunteers for National Trails Day. At 9 a.m., all volunteers are invited to meet in the Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Center (Point Park) parking lot. National Park Service staff and other volunteers will work on the Bluff Trail starting at the stairs leading into Point Park and will work toward Sunset Rock replacing trail signs, cleaning graffiti and clearing honeysuckle. Volunteers can expect to return to the visitor center at approximately noon. All tools and supplies will be provided to volunteers. If you choose to volunteer, the park requests you wear long pants and sturdy, close-toed shoes, no flip-flops. 31st Annual Spring Garden Tour

When: Sat, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sun, June 3 from 1-6 p.m.
Where: McCoy Farm and Gardens, 1715 Anderson Pike, Signal Mountain, TN 37377 
Cost: $20

The 31st Annual Spring Garden Tour, sponsored by the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County, features the McCoy Farm & Gardens plus four private gardens all located on Signal Mountain. Tickets for the entire tour are $20, good for both days, and can be purchased on the day of the event at any of the gardens on the tour. Proceeds from the Spring Garden Tour benefit educational programs sponsored by the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County. Fridays and Saturdays through June

ChattaBrew Tour

When: Every Friday 1-5 p.m. and every Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Terminal Brewhouse, 6 East 14th Street
Cost: $50

On each ChattaBrew Tour, you'll visit three of Chattanooga's craft breweries and taste their signature brews and seasonal selections. The breweries on each tour rotate on a regular basis, so you can take more than one ChattaBrew Tour to experience even more of the Scenic City's craft beer culture! Thursday, June 7

Bands on the Bluff: Asian Fusion

When: 6-7:30 p.m.
Where: Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View
Cost: Free - $5

Inspired by the East Meets West theme of the Hunter’s new exhibit of work by artist Karen LaMonte, this event will have an Asian fusion theme. It will feature music from I Can Japan, themed activities and Asian inspired drinks at the cash bar, and ice cream treats available for purchase from Clumpies. Admission to the performance, as well as the Karen LaMonte exhibit, is $5 for adults and free for members and children 17 and under. From 4-8 p.m. the permanent collection is free to all guests.
