Swine: Grand Opening Reception

When: 5-8 p.m.
Where: Cine-Rama, 100 W. Main St. 
Cost: Free

Swine, located inside Cine-Rama, will host its Grand Opening Reception this weekend featuring light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. The venue will hold its debut exhibition featuring several local artists working in sculpture, installation and performance art. Performances will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. Artists include Matthew Dutton, Zac Holbrook, Justin Butts, Morgan Koch, Adam Kirby, Aaron Cowan, Stephanie Loggans, Bonnie Buffington, Katie Severson, Kayla Cloonan, Eleanor Epstein, Kyle Wood and more.

Saturday, June 4 and Sunday June 5

29th Annual Spring Garden Tour

When: June 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; June 5 from 1-6 p.m.
Where: Chattanooga Area Food Bank, 2009 Curtain Pole Road
Cost: $15, benefitting the Chattanooga Area Food Bank

The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County will host the 29th Annual Spring Garden Tour to benefit the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, featuring eight public and private gardens in Chattanooga, North Chattanooga, Hixson and East Brainerd. The gardens offer ideas on how to use sculpture and artifacts, water features, and stonework. Tickets for the entire tour are $15 and can be purchased on the day of the event at any of the gardens. Junior League of Chattanooga ga's Designer Showhouse

When: Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Where: 526 S Crest Road 
Cost: $25

The Designer Showhouse is a fundraising event to benefit the mission and community projects of the Junior League of Chattanooga. The Designer Showhouse will feature a unique home with superb Chattanooga architecture, on loan for this event, transformed by 11 selected local and regional designers which will be temporarily open to the public during the weekends in June. Summer Wine Tasting at Back Inn Cafe

When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. 
Where: Back In Cafe, 412 East Second Street
Cost: $37

Enjoy an evening of light and refreshing wines selected to help you beat the summer heat. Join Bluff View's wine director, Michael Vasta, at Back Inn Cafe for a series of tastings to get a fresh look on traditional reds and whites.

Books & More Sale

When: June 9 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; June 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; June 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St.
Cost: Free

This sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Chattanooga Public Library, will offer books for children and youth, mystery and fiction, travel, local history, audio books, CDs and DVDs. Prices for paperbacks and all children's books will be $1. Hardback books will be $2 each. The CDs, DVDs and audio books will be priced separately.
