Per_Formance at Swine

Cost: $5

Enjoy a night of performance art from emerging and prominent artists living and working in the South, pushing the boundaries of the medium. Artists include Aaron Cowan, Eleanor Epstein, Kayla Cloonan, Adam Kirby, Jessica Scott-Felder, Kyle Wood and Monica Taylor. A relatively young field to be recognized, performance has almost always been a challenge to the conventions of traditional forms of visual art such as painting and sculpture. It borrows styles and ideas from other forms of art, or sometimes from other forms of activity not associated with art, like ritual, or work-like tasks. For more information, visit thecinerama.org.
