August 5th-7th

2022 Light Up TN Balloon Glow

When: 6:30-9:00pm
Where: Camp Jordan, 323 Camp Jordan Pkwy
Cost: $20-$50

Grab your chairs and blankets and get ready to light up the night! The 2022 Light Up TN Balloon Glow is happening all weekend and you will not want to miss it! Starting Friday evening, hot air balloons will light up the sky with fun colors, shapes, and characters for a beautiful display. There will be plenty of vendors and awesome music for a night full of family fun. Admission is charged by the vehicle and prices will increase at the gate. Saturday, August 6th

Back to School Bash

When: 10:00am-1:00pm
Where: First Horizon Pavilion,1 Reggie White Blvd
Cost: Free

The first day of school for Hamilton County is less than a week away! To celebrate, BlueCare of Tennessee is hosting their 5ith annual Back to School Bash with tons of free stuff to get you ready for the school year. Families will receive free backpacks and school supplies provided by community partners. This even it is completely free and will last from 10:00am to 1:00pm. To help spread the word and let them know you'll be there, head over to their Facebook event.


August 11th-13th

Best of Preps Jamboree

When: 6:00pm
Where: Finley Stadium, 1826 Carter St.
Cost: $10

Friday night football is just around the corner and what better way to preview what is to come this fall than by a 3 day jamboree? Presented by Chattanooga Sports, 23 football teams from Hamilton, Bradley, and Marion county will battle it out on the field. The preseason games will feature back to back 30 minutes games for a night full of exciting football! Due to the number of teams participating, Best of Preps will be spread out over the course of 3 days. Basic Lettering: First Day of School Signs

In case you hadn't gathered from the previous events, the kids are heading back to school this week! If you're looking for a special way to kick off the first day of school, check out this class at The Chattery. Basic Lettering: First Day of School Signs will teach you how to make a cute first day of school sign like the ones you see all over social media. This online class will teach you how to hand letter simply by using Crayola markers. You will learn the basics of lettering while guiding you through creating your own sign.
