Anne of Green Gables, The Musical
When: Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 16 at 1 and 7:30 p.m.

Storyteller Productions will present "Anne of Green Gables, the Musical." With a book by Donald Harron and music by Norman Campbell, this classic tale of an orphan girl, Anne, who rises from destitution to happiness in the farm country entirely by her pluck and personality is faithfully retold. Anne's adventures at Green Gables, the farm owned by her new caretakers, are both comical and heartwarming. Originating in Canada, the play left capacity audiences there to journey to London, where it opened to acclaim. The original Anne of Green Gables novel is the first in a prized series by writer L.M. Montgomery, and, if ever there was a story meant to be told in song, it is the story of Anne Shirley.

TasteBuds Grow Chattanooga Farm Tour
When: Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 17 from noon to 4 p.m.

The TasteBuds Grow Chattanooga Farm Tour is an opportunity for folks to connect with the people that produce food in our region. Purchasing a $20 car pass for this two day event provides you (and as many friends/family members as will fit in your vehicle) with access to a behind-the-scenes look at local farms. Meet the caretakers of the land and its resources. Learn about their practices, the challenges and rewards of bringing food to the table, and enjoy a hayride, the animals, open air, and beautiful Southeastern scenery. Bring your cooler and cash, and—collecting ingredients as you visit—savor a picnic before heading home. Bridge the distance between food production and consumption. This annual event supports hardworking farmers by raising funds to promote local food and create educational opportunities for farmers. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, she will help you make the most of your time together, stretching and toning your body while easing your spirit into a pure state of balance. Following the yoga session, keep on relaxing while you enjoy flavorful sweet southern wines from the Chattanooga Valley. Please bring your own mat and water.

Cast Iron Cook Off
When: 11 am. to 4 p.m.
Where: Chattanooga Market, 1829 Carter Street
Cost: Free
The annual Cast Iron Cook Off features Chattanooga’s most prominent and rising chefs. It's a chance to watch live as they create culinary delights for a panel of judges, using fresh ingredients right from the Chattanooga Market. Arriving in the morning and armed with their cast iron cookware and serving dishes, but nothing more; the Market provides each chef with a pantry of basic items (salt, sugar, vinegar, etc.), maybe a mystery ingredient or two, and a modest budget so that they may shop the Market for the remaining ingredients they need to prepare their meal. Market patrons watch as the chefs shop, prepare and present a meal that is healthy and fresh, while learning a thing or two to try at home. During the final phase of the event, the chefs present their dishes to members of the tasting panel for judging. The panel is asked to judge based on appearance, taste, creativity and overall impression. The Cast Iron Chef winner will receive receive bragging rights, as well as a "golden ticket" to the 2017 World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama this November.
