Cloudland Canyon State Park Presents Fall Fun - Hayrides & More!

When: Noon - 6 p.m.
Where: Cloudland Canyon State Park, 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Road, Rising Fawn, Ga 30738 
Cost: $6 for adults, $3 for children 2-12, and toddlers under 2 are free; additional $5 per vehicle parking fee

The entire family will enjoy a tractor-drawn hayride through the beautiful fall colors at Cloudland Canyon State Park. Admission to the hayride includes family fun such as games, temporary tattoos, bubble station, sandbox, sidewalk chalk and coloring. Hot Dogs, soft drinks, snacks and warm apple cider will be available for purchase. Cloudland Canyon also offers hiking, biking, pond fishing, disc golf, picnicking, camping, and Interpretive Center programs. Plan to spend the whole day in the beautiful outdoors! This event is presented by the Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park and all proceeds benefit the park.

Artful Yoga: Room to Revitalize

When: 1:30-3 p.m.
Where: Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View
Cost: Free - $5  

Travel to a painted rocky island and find room to revive and free yourself with an artful yoga led by Kaylee Frano, owner of Peace. Strength. Yoga. A $5 donation for Artful Yoga supports the Hunter's educational programs. Please bring your own mat. All participants should arrive on time as the gallery portion is integral to the Artful Yoga experience. Artful yoga guests are also welcome to visit the special exhibits for an additional $10.

English Country Dance - Introduction for New Dancers

When: 7-9 p.m.
Where: Heritage House, 1428 Jenkins Rd.
Cost: Free

English Country Dance (ECD) is a beautiful, historical social dance that was popular from around 1650 through 1800. Movies based on Jane Austen novels such as "Pride & Prejudice" or "Emma," feature scenes with English Country dancing at balls and parties. New and experienced dancers are invited to learn about English Country Dance at this introductory class which will start with ECD basic moves including: set and turn single, two hand turn, star right and left, back to back, and changes of rights and lefts. Then several dances from the historical English Country Dance repertoire will be taught. Everyone is welcome! No partner or previous experience is necessary. Bring a separate pair of soft-soled shoes for dancing (sneakers or flats).

Rock City's Blowing Springs Farm featuring the Enchanted MAiZE

When: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
Where: Blowing Springs Farm, 271 Chattanooga Valley Road, Flintstone, GA 30725 
Cost: Free - $10 

Adventure for the whole family begins by getting lost in the corn maze at Rock City's Blowing Springs Farm! Make sure to fuel up with homemade funnel cakes and more before swinging by the Critter Corral to meet the loveable furry animals. A family outing is not complete without a little competition, so drive around in pedal carts for a friendly family race. End the night with a relaxing hayride made for the entire family. Fall, fun, laughter and enchantment await at Blowing Springs Farm!


Friday, September 29

Hurricane of Hops - MBBC's Disaster Relief Fundraiser

When: 5-11:45 p.m. 
Where: Moccasin Bend Brewing Co., 3210 S. Broad St. 
Cost: Free

At Hurricane of Hops, a portion of all beer sales that night will be sent to the Red Cross to assist with the relief efforts. There is also a T-shirt campaign through TeeBlaster. For every shirt sold, funds will be added to the donation. chriSte will be performing that night and donating their usual fee to the effort, while Crust Pizza on Broad will also be helping the cause by providing their cracker thin crust pizzas and donating the proceeds. To round things out, McKamey Animal Center will be bringing some of the animals they rescued from the affected area for pet loving Chattanoogans to take in. Visit the brewery for a fresh beer, enjoyable music and tasty treats while raising funds to help those in need.
