Such is the plight – and plot – of the mischievous and magical "Matilda," a Tony Award-winning musical which opens the Chattanooga Theatre Centre's 2019-2020 season on Friday, September 20. For tickets, call the CTC box office at 423-267-8534 or visit TheatreCentre.com.

Fireside: Outdoor Concert Series

When: 7-9 p.m.
Where: Greenway Farms, 5051 Gann Store Road
Cost: Free

This free, family-friendly, outdoor music series hosted by Outdoor Chattanooga gathers around a campfire at the City of Chattanooga's Greenway Farm Park. All ages are invited to come out to unplug and enjoy an autumn evening in the park. Bring your blankets and chairs, marshmallow roasting stick and perhaps a picnic supper; then sit back and enjoy live music in a rustic outdoor setting. The stage is located on the porch of the Sniteman Log Cabin behind the gardens at Greenway Farm Park. The artist will be Lou Wamp and The Bluetastics, a company of veteran pickers who honor the bluegrass tradition and give it a new kick. Instrumental prowess and vocal style showcase fine original material based in bluegrass, western swing, & swampy blues. They love to infuse the music with their own arrangements, original compositions, and nods to other genres of sound.
