June 3rd-5th

Riverbend 2022

When: June 3rd 4:00pm, June 4th-5th 2:00pm
Where: Ross's Landing, 100 Riverfront Parkway
Cost: $75-$115

You may have noticed a few road closures around downtown this past week. It must mean it’s time for Riverbend! Riverbend is back for its 39th year and this year’s line up will not disappoint! Headlines include Brothers Osborne, Cage The Elephant, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and many more! This year’s festival will also be featuring its first-ever host, the legendary Leslie Jordan! Saturday, June 4th 

Little Owl Festival 

When: 9:00am-4:00pm
Where: Audubon Acres, 900 N Sanctuary Rd.
Cost: $6 Adults, $5 Children, Free for members

Want to enjoy the outdoors, but still tired from all of the memorial day weekend fun? The Little Owl Festival is a great way to get the family outside and enjoy nature. This low-key event will be hosted at Chattanooga’s oldest nature preserve, Audubon Acres and include storytelling, music, a tapestry demo, and a live hawk release. For those who are looking for a little more adventure, the day will start with a 5k trail race. This race is great for those looking to set a personal best or looking to try trail running. Saturday, June 4th

Juneteenth Independence Day

When: June 4th 6:30pm, Additional event times vary
Where: Chattanooga Theatre Centre, 400 River St
Cost: $50, Additional event costs vary

This weekend kicks off a month-long celebration of Chattanooga Festival of Black Arts & Ideas: Juneteenth Independence Day. This multi-event celebration honors, celebrates, and showcases the contribution of artists of African descent within the artistic community. This festival will kick off with the RBG Ball (Red, Black, and Green) and the 1st Inaugural Blac Arts Awards on Saturday. The following Sunday, “The Fire Next Time” - A Tribute to James Baldwin Opening Reception, Lecture By Jody Harris and Artist Talk will take place at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. Friday, June 10th

Blank281-Blink182 Tribute Band

When: 9:00pm-1:00am
Where: Wanderlinger Brewing Company, 1208 King St.
Cost: $12 in advance, $15 at the door

Don’t spend a Friday night thinking “what’s my age again?” Blank281, a Blink182 cover band, will be in Chattanooga June 10th! Featured on E!’s Clash of the Cover Bands, Blank 281 will take you all the way back to the beginning of Blink 182’s music in 1994 through today. Take a journey through their breakthrough into the music industry, their hiatus, and even into the changing of the band members. Blank 281 has been touring for 12 years and will be ready for a night of nostalgia and rock! For tickets, click here.  


Thursday, June 9th

Cosplay at the Hunter

When: 6:00pm-7:30pm 
Where: Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View
Cost: $20 ($5 off for those who arrive in costume), 17 and under are free

The Hunter Art Museum will be hosting its first ever cosplay event! To celebrate the current exhibit “Enchanted: A History of Fantasy Illustration,” you are invited to dress as your favorite fandom for a night of fun. Be sure to come dressed to impress as there will be a cosplay contest! Along with illustrations from “Game of Thrones” and “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” there will be treats for purchase, cash bar, music, and collectibles for sale.
