Running of the Chihuahuas 13: The Revival

When: 12:30pm
Where: First Horizon Pavilion, 1826 Reggie White Blvd.
Cost: Free 

How about a day full of fun, food, music, and… small dogs battling it out to the very end? Running of the Chihuahuas is back for its 13th year! After not competing for 2 years, these Chihuahuas are ready to put all of their tiny legs to the test. Cheer on each competitor as they race to the finish line. Each race will narrow down the list of over 150 Chihuahuas where only one dog will be crowned the champion. On top of being able to pet countless dogs, rising artists Caley Rose, Charlotte Sands, and Jena Rose who will be performing live!

Day out with Thomas

When: 9:00am-6:00pm
Where: Tennessee Valley Railroad, 4119 Cromwell Rd.
Cost: $21-$24

Looking for something to do this weekend with the kids? How about also taking a walk down memory lane yourself? Take a ride on the classic Thomas The Train! Thomas and his friend Percy will be in Chattanooga this weekend where families have the chance to ride along the historic Tennessee Railroad to see the beautiful city. Good news! Tennessee Aquarium's 30th Anniversary Community Celebration

When: 10:00 am-9:00 pm 
Where: Tennessee Aquarium, One Broad Street  
Cost: Free

The Tennessee Aquarium holds a special place in the heart of Chattanooga. For 30 years, it has been a staple to educating the community about wildlife, nature, and environmental conservation as well as growing Chattanooga tourism. This Saturday, the Tennessee Aquarium celebrates 30 years with a day full of music, food, shopping, and family fun! The day will start out with an athletic event that includes a 30 minute walk, 30 minute ride, and a 30k bike ride. For those who would rather get their steps in while shopping, the Chattanooga River Market will begin at 10am along with additional family activities with vendors including The Humane Society, Face Painting by Deb, The Creative Discovery Museum, and more! When you’re starting to feel a little hungry from all of the fun, there will be 8 food trucks to choose from. You can enjoy your food on the Chattanooga Green where live music will be playing from 11am to 9pm. April 28th - May 8th 

Scenic City State Fair

When: Opens at 5pm Monday-Friday, Opens at 1pm Saturday-Sunday
Where: Camp Jordan Park, 323 Camp Jordan Parkway
Cost: $10-$45

What could be more classic than a day of family fun at the state fair? The Scenic City State Fair offers a variety of entertainment for the family, a sweet date night with your special someone, or just a fun night out with your friends. Ride numerous rides that range from a twirling merry-go-round to an adventurous free fall. In between the rides, you can enjoy the unique shows including Aquatic Acrobatics, Sea Lion splash, Dominguez Circus, and the Wild West Medicine Show. Running With Sasquatch/Cumberland Trail Spring Festival

When: 9am-3pm
Where: Ivy Academy, 8520 Dayton Pike
Cost: $35

Do you think you have what it takes to beat Sasquatch? Ivy Academy’s annual fundraiser offers you the chance to put your trail running to the test to see if you can beat Sasquatch in a 5k. The trail race begins at Ivy Academy and follows along North Chick Creek. If you would prefer a slower pace to take in the beautiful surroundings, you can also simply hike the 5k in the Wildflower Walk.
