December 3rd-4th

MainX24

Where: Main Street, Chattanooga, TN

MAINx24 is a 24-hour long festival celebrating Main Street and the surrounding Southside, held every December since 2007. The annual event features programming all day long, from parades to music to poetry readings to chili cook-offs. The day has been a way to celebrate and showcase the burgeoning Southside. MAINx24 is organized completely by residents, merchants, and friends of the Southside community. MAINx24 is free and open to the public and has something for everyone. December 3rd-4th

Chattanooga Holiday Market

When: December 3rd & 4th, 10am-5pm
Where: Chattanooga Convention Center, 1 Carter St.
Cost: Free admission

The Chattanooga Market has moved indoors during December weekends at the Chattanooga Convention Center. The Holiday Market features 200+ local food vendors, artists and crafters each Saturday & Sunday in December offering unique gifts and festive preparations – everything you’ll need for the holiday season! Shoppers will be able to find one-of-a-kind pottery, custom pieces of art, handcrafted jewelry, local foods, natural bath and body products, locally designed and made apparel, wood furniture, and so much more. Holiday Under The Peaks

When: 10am-5pm
Where: Tennessee Aquarium, 1 Broad St.
Cost: $21.95-$42.95

Your adventure through a fun-filled underwater wonderland begins with holiday music and decor in the River Journey lobby. Look for seasonal surprises throughout your tour – including a light-bedecked tree twinkling in sync with the jolly jolts of an Electric Eel! In keeping with beloved holiday tradition, The Polar Express 3D returns to the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX 3D Theater. Friday, December 2nd

Red Bank Christmas Parade & Festival

When: 4:00-8:00pm
Where: Kid's Corner Park, 3817 Redding Rd. 
Cost: Free

The city of Red Bank is hosting their annual Christmas Parade & Festival and you sure don’t want to miss out! The festival will begin with live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, games, beer wonderland, and more! The parade will follow the festival & don’t forget to grab your photo with Santa & Mrs. Clause after the parade! Cap the evening off with a bonfire put on by the Red Bank Fire Department. Gingerbread Workshop

Where: Creative Discover Museum, 321 Chestnut St.

If you’re looking for some Christmas fun this weekend, the Creative Discovery Museum has you covered! Kick off the holiday season and create masterpieces out of gingerbread, icing, candy, and more! They’ll provide the pre-built gingerbread house along with icing and an impressive mountain of candy to make a truly unique design. What holiday event would be complete without festive music, cookies, and hot chocolate? This will become a family tradition you won't want to miss!
