Run Wild, Chattanooga Zoo 5K and 1 mile run

When: 8 a.m. – 5K run begins; 8:30 a.m. – 1 mile run begins
Where: Chattanooga Zoo, 301 North Holtzclaw Avenue
Cost: $25 - $40

The Chattanooga Zoo’s Run Wild! 5K and 1 mile event fundraiser is designed to be fun for all ages and fitness levels. The route will end within the Chattanooga Zoo with up-close animal encounters, refreshments and more. Be sure to dress as your favorite animal so you can really run wild! Packet pick up will be at the Chattanooga Zoo on Friday, April 29 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 30 beginning at 7 a.m. All participants will receive a Run Wild T-shirt and zoo admission for the day. ReptiDay Chattanooga Reptile & Exotic Animal Show

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Camp Jordan Arena, 323 Camp Jordan Parkway
Cost: Adults—$10; Children (5-12)—$5, Under 5—Free

ReptiDay Chattanooga is a one-day reptile event featuring vendors offering reptile pets, supplies, feeders, cages, and merchandise as well as live animal seminars and frequent free raffles for coveted prizes. Chattanooga Market Play Along with the CSO

When: 1 p.m. or 2 p.m.
Where: First Tennessee Pavilion, 1826 Reggie White Boulevard
Cost: $31

Dreaming of trying out your musical talents alongside members of a 60+ professional orchestra? This could be your chance. Community musicians are invited to perform with the musicians of the CSO for select pieces during a live, free concert at the Chattanooga Market. Participants must be 18 or older. There is an entrant fee which includes a play along performance, CSO T-shirt, PDFs of the music and brief professional instruction prior to the performance. Ready to Rock Climb

When: 5:30-8 p.m.
Where: Coolidge Park, 200 River Street - Walnut Wall
Cost: Free

If you’ve ever wanted to learn the essentials of rock climbing, now is your chance with “Ready to Rock Climb,” an introduction to the sport offered by Outdoor Chattanooga at the Walnut Wall in Coolidge Park. Ready to Rock Climb sessions give participants the opportunity to try vertical, top roped rock climbing with route difficulty varying from beginner to advanced. No experience is necessary and equipment is provided. Gym shoes and longer shorts or athletic pants are most appropriate. Open climb sessions occur on the first and third Sunday through June 19 Appropriate for the family, ages 5 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian who can sign the assumption of risk and liability release form. For more information contact Outdoor Chattanooga.

Rock/Creek presents: 'For the Love' Movie Premiere

When: 7-10 p.m.
Where: Rock/Creek Paddlesports & Outlet,1530 Riverside Dr.
Cost: Free

"For the Love," a beautifully crafted documentary about extreme whitewater kayaking and the paddling lifestyle, will be shown at Rock/Creek. The event is open to those 21 and up. A raffle will be held at the end of the movie for a New Dagger Nomad (Medium), Watershed Bags, Astral Brewers and Astral Green Jacket. All proceeds will go to the Shannon Christy Memorial Fund.
