October is here which means the leaves will be changing colors soon here in Chattanooga! Our town offers some amazing and unique opportunities to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. The city is surrounded by the scenic Appalachian Mountains and offers various locations where you can experience the vibrant colors of autumn. We’ve put together a list of where you can find the best views as the season changes.

Lookout Mountain | Lookout Mountain is one of the most popular spots for fall foliage in Chattanooga. You can visit Rock City Gardens, which offers stunning views of the surrounding forests and valleys including a point where you can see 7 different states. The Lover's Leap trail on Lookout Mountain is another great option for hiking and enjoying fall colors.

Ruby Falls | Ruby Falls, located inside Lookout Mountain, is famous for its underground waterfall. The cave tour also allows you to explore the beautiful rock formations and experience a unique perspective of autumn.
