After nearly a hundred year wait, a rare total eclipse is happening this Monday, August 21. Although Chattanooga is not quite in the path of totality, we’ve got a solid 99.5% viewing here—so if you don’t want to travel, you really don’t have to.

Nickajack Bat Cave Canoe Adventure

Outdoor Chattanooga hosts a guided and equipped canoe trip to Nickajack Cave, where thousands of endangered gray bats come each summer to raise their young.
